Pauline brother praying the divine office.
Community Life and Prayer.

The priests and brothers live and work in community. They share their spiritual and apostolic life. On a daily bases they participate in the Eucharist together and share an hour eucharistic visit to the Blessed Sacrament. The stores, editorial departments, production, audio-visual, and radio and television ministries are all a joint effort of the congregation. Blessed Alberione wanted the members to work and pray together for the good of the Church and the Kingdom of God.

A prayer of the Society of St. Paul for the media, artists and musicians.

Father, in a world deafened by a cacaphony of sounds, may all be able to hear your whispering voice. We ask this first of all for ourselves, men dedicated to the Sacred Scriptures and the teaching of the Church, who must communicate your truth, Father, in a world that would prefer to hear lies.

Secondly, we ask this for all who work in media, the press, radio, television, the internet. May they cherish truth more strongly than their own prejudices and personal agendas. May they present truth in a way that will enlighten hearts rather then inflame passions and conflicts.

Thirdly, we pray for the artists and musicians of the world. May they utilize their talents to give you glory and in the process receive the recognition that they deserve. May they expose the horror and error of sin and the beauty and truth of of virtue. We ask this Father, in the name of your Son, our Divine Master, the Way, the Truth and the Life, who lives and reigns gently with you, and the Holy Spirit, one loving God, forever and ever. Amen.

Pauline priests and brothers are all apart of the same family.

Fr. James Alberione gave to the Society of St. Paul a robust spirituality based on the scriptures and nurtured by the eucharist. The brothers and the priests are to use their time and talents to build up the kingdom of God through the use of media but they need a vibrant spiritual life to carry out this dynamic mission. They pray not only for themselves but for all who work in the media. The Title Jesus Master, way, truth and life combines Fr. Alberione's understanding of Jesus in the synoptic gospels with his appreciation of John's soaring inspiration. Fr. Alberione conveyed to all the members of the Pauline family a method for growing in Christ.

The love of Christ is nourished in the reception of the eucharist where Christ is encountered in the most powerful fashion. The devotion to the Eucharist is an essential part of the Pauline spirituality. Fr. Alberione established a daily one hour eucharistic visit for members of the Society of St. Paul.
The Scriptures were highly esteemed by Fr. Alberione as a way to truly know Christ. Bl. Alberione insisted that the scriptures be the corner stone of every Pauline's spiritual reading. In the scriptures, the Divine Teacher reveals for us the will of the Father and shows us the path we should follow in this life.

To love Christ also means to love his mother. Under the title of Queen of apostles Fr. Alberione instilled in his members a practical and down to earth love of Mary. A love that would lead all Pauline's to share the story of Jesus with the world.

St. Paul was considered by Fr. Alberione to be the true founder of the Pauline Family. Fr. Alberione believed that members of the Pauline Family should be benignly possessed by the loving, zealous, and lofty spirit of the Apostle to the gentiles.
